The Fall colors should make for a great afternoon drive and a great setting for an outdoor show. I can't wait. Well it was worth the wait. After getting a great start earlier in the afternoon at the Albion Festival of The Forks, I loaded up the whole family and headed to the Fowlerville Fall Fest. The perfect weather held and I found another friendly but entirely new audience waiting. After my show we got to enjoy a performance from about 30 kids from Saline High School known as the Saline Fiddle Philharmonic. They were very entertaining and the whole family really enjoyed them. Be sure to check them out if they are ever in your area. Thanks to Jim Diefenthaler and all of you folks in the audience for making my first trip to Fowlerville so memorable.

October 19th - Flavor Fruit Farms - 1025 S. Jackson Rd. Cement City, MI - A third trip to one of Michigan's best treasures. Fresh cider, doughnuts, pies, bar-B-Q... plenty of pumpkins, cornstalks and other Fall decorations, wall to wall (and field to field) friendly folks, elk, white tail deer and live music. What could be better? Despite the cold blustery weather, so many of you came out to make the last show of the season at Flavor Fruit Farms the best. Its really good to see everyone have such a good time. There was so much to see and do again and we had a good crowd on hand to get the festival kicked off on the right foot. Thanks to Carla Gibson for having me back this year. "Long as I remember, the rain's been comin' down"... Opening with CCR's "Who'll Stop The Rain" seems fitting as my luck with the weather runs out with a downpour just before show time but the festival is a lot of fun. Margaret the kids, and I get in early enough to take in some the rides sights and sounds. A great crowd that included my both my Mom and Dad so I could dedicate "The Seventh Son" to them. With that exception and Randy Travis' "Three Wooden Crosses" (a current personal favorite) it was a completely different show than the one last month. JTV channel !7 was there to film a good part of the show and I had just an overwhelmingly positive response from the audience both during and after the show.
